Australian Miniature Herefords and Perian Miniature Herefords are offering two starter packs.

The RED pack includes two miniature Hereford cows (Pregnancy Tested In Calf) and one unrelated miniature Hereford bull for $5000

The WHITE pack includes two miniature Hereford heifers and one unrelated miniature Hereford bull for $4000

Each pack includes one year’s membership of the Australian Miniature Hereford Breeders Network.

The cattle Perian Miniature Herefords have for sale are in the following slide show (more photos to come). All the calves are sired by Baringup Bill the Kid – see his photos on our Bulls page.

What you can learn from animals

We have had several big storms lately. Yesterday we were doing cattle work with the calves and then put them into one of our maternity paddocks for them to eat the grass down.

A storm was coming.

The cows put all the calves in one corner and then the cows stood around the outside of the group! There were two lines of cows protecting their calves from the severity of the storm. As you would expect all the cows also had their tails to the approaching storm.

The photo was taken just as the animals were starting to move away from the tightly knit group.

Baringup Billy - mini Hereford bull

This is our current bull, Billy. Registered with HAL as are all our animals.

Billy is a lovely gentle bull who is now putting his mark over our herd.
